BPSC Assistant Engineer DV Letter Admit Card 2025

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the release of the BPSC Assistant Engineer 2024 DV Letter for the posts of Assistant Engineer in Civil and Mechanical disciplines. This Sarkari Naukri opportunity is part of Recruitment Advt. No. 32/2024 and 33/2024 under the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Government of Bihar. Application Fee Details

Applicants from different categories had to pay the following fees for applying to the BPSC Assistant Engineer 2024 posts:

All applicants belonging to the General/OBC/EWS categories were required to pay Rs 750/-, whereas candidates belonging to the SC/ST and Female residents of Bihar were required to pay only Rs 200/- as the application fee. Age Limit Requirements

As of 01 August 2024, candidates from all categories must fulfill the age criteria mentioned below. The commission provides age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per government norms.

The minimum age limit for the post of Assistant Engineer is 21 years. For maximum age, UR General Male candidates can be up to 37 years old. A relaxation of 3 years is applicable for females in UR/EWS/BC/EBC categories, and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. PwD candidates also get additional relaxation. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the BPSC AE 2024 posts, candidates must have cleared their graduation with the relevant engineering branch from a UGC or AICTE recognized university or institute.

Applicants for the Assistant Engineer Civil post must hold a BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering, while candidates for the Mechanical stream must have completed BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Exam Pattern and Syllabus

Candidates had to appear for a written test that comprised objective type questions from multiple sections, such as General Studies, General Engineering Science, Current Affairs, and Subject-specific Topics (Civil or Mechanical).

Pay Scale

The BPSC Assistant Engineer positions come under Level-09 in the Bihar State Pay Matrix. Selected candidates will receive a Grade Pay of Rs 5400/- along with other allowances as per rules.
